Journal of vocational behavior, Vol.1(1)
1971
Abstract
The purpose of the present study was to investigate the role of self esteem in occupational choice behavior. It was tentatively concluded that high self esteem persons tend to look at their own needs and relevant attributes in determining the satisfaction with their occupational choice, whereas low self esteem persons look more toward external cues.
