Abstract
The paper presents a summary of a workshop on the mechanisms to enhance university/industry interactions in biomedical engineering. The workshop focused on four main themes: enhancing university-industry interactions; encouraging commercially applicable research; fostering the transfer of university-based research results to industry; and delivering biomedical engineering education with a stronger industrial orientation.
