Synthesis of parent aniline tetramer and pentamer and redox properties
Materials letters, v 59(19-20), pp 2446-2450
Aug 2005
Abstract
In this paper, the parent aniline tetramer and pentamer have been synthesized successfully through a novel method (one-step oxidative coupling reaction), and they were characterized by IR, MALDI-TOF-MS, elemental analysis and 1H NMR. The chemical oxidation process of the tetramer and pentamer were studied by UV–Vis spectra. It was found the tetramer and pentamer were oxidized to EB form and then to the pernigraniline oxidation state.
