Abstract
Studies have shown that residents living near chromium waste sites in New Jersey show elevated levels of Cr levels in household dust and in the urine. In this paper, the authors investigate whether the external exposure is predictive of internal exposure. The study showed that average urine Cr levels were higher in populations near chromate production waste sties, and in children under 5 years of age.
