The Challenge of Conduct Disorder
Principal leadership (High school ed.), Vol.7(7), p11

Abstract
If left untreated, the disorder will persist throughout adolescence and into adulthood, setting the stage for drug and alcohol use, unstable relationships, academic underachievement, dropping out of school, work-related problems, incarceration, and repeated hospitalizations. Other factors, such as history of familial antisocial behavior, birth order and family size, parental separation or divorce, and academic deficiencies have also been implicated (Kazdin, 1995). Academic support may include helping with homework, assisting in identifying and completing missed assignments, or even teaching and coaching the student in the use of study skills and learning strategies (including test-taking strategies).
