Abstract
Reviews the book, Work, Families, and Organizations edited by Sheldon Zedeck (see record 1992-97601-000). The objectives of this volume are to demonstrate the role of industrial and organizational psychology in the study of work-family dynamics and to stimulate the readership to "increased interest and activity in this area." The volume is useful to psychologists and others who seek a comprehensive overview of the research and professional literature in the work-family area, as well as those who wish to initiate their own research in this field. It can also serve as a valuable supplementary text for courses in human resource management, career development, organizational behavior, and family dynamics. In summary, this volume continues the tradition of excellence associated with the Frontiers of Industrial and Organizational Psychology series.
