To the Editor:
In describing the "pitfalls of the teaching nursing home," Dr. Ahronheim's article (Feb. 10 issue)* misses the point on three counts.
First of all, the Teaching-Nursing-Home Program, as established by the National Institute on Aging, is a research program. One of the two teaching-nursing-home grants was given to a consortium consisting of the Philadelphia Geriatric Center, the Medical College of Pennsylvania, and the Center for the Study of Aging of the University of Pennsylvania, and the other went to Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
