Abstract
Valid, reliable, objective analysis of the voice is as important to the laryngologist as audiometry is to the otologist. Numerous instruments are available currently to assist the voice care team in making diagnoses and documenting the results of treatment. Advantages and disadvantages of selected instruments are reviewed. Because of rapid technological developments, each center must investigate the latest advances carefully before investing in voice laboratory equipment.
