Abstract
Acute respiratory infections remain the major cause of morbidity due to acute illness at any age in the United States. In this well-detailed article, the author presents a clinical approach to the management of such patients that a clinician may use with confidence, with few laboratory tests, and with limited use of antimicrobials.
