Abstract

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder Behavior Child development Cultural differences Dopamine Genes Hyperactivity Medical treatment
Among patients whose symptoms decrease during adolescence, the outcome is similar to that of normal subjects in terms of occupational achievement, social functioning, and drug and alcohol use, although not academic achievement.33 The extent to which treatments (drug therapy, individual and group therapy, and special educational services) affect outcome is controversial.
