The outcomes and results caused by the addition of 2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidine-N-oxyl (TEMPO) to M[Cl.sub.3] are analyzed in the study. The study also discusses the isolation and reactivity of the M[Cl.sub.3]([[eta].sup.1]-TEMPO) (M = Fe, Al) compounds.
