Abstract
An atomistic model of Ti2CO2 intercalated with Li on the background of Ti3C2 MXene ‐ a member of a new family of 2D transition metal carbides is presented. Metallic conductivity and ability to intercalate ions make MXenes promising for energy storage applications, such as batteries and supercapacitors. Their electronic and chemical properties can be tuned by controlling their surface terminations. This work is reviewed by Y. Gogotsi and co‐workers on page 992.
