Abstract
There is a scarcity of research on the impact of trauma team member communication on performance. Anecdotal evidence tells of "talking to the air"--asking for tasks to be completed by no one in particular. Human factors techniques were used to analyze the communication patterns in trauma team performance. Video of trauma cases were observed and analyzed. Proposed solutions will be simulated in a state of the art simulation center.
