Abstract
Using a transparent "projecting" voltmeter and assembling a zinc versus copper cell one componenet at time gives students a better notion of the nature of a voltaic cell and the potential it produces. Procedures for building a projecting voltmeter by modifying a Precision Panel Meter are offered.
