Abstract
A preliminary study using wavelet analysis to investigate the vibromyographic (VMG) signal of the human triceps during four levels of efforts is described. Changes in the mean spectral power are proposed as a means for differentiating between various effort levels. The results indicate that changes in spectral statistics might be useful for discerning between muscle activation levels as well as detecting fatigue.
