Abstract
Implications for practice and research
The perspectives of young people regarding their engagement in school mental health and suicide prevention initiatives should be incorporated into school-based mental health promotion through accessible interventions and personalised treatment plans developed by a multidisciplinary team.
Future research should focus on developing school-based suicide prevention programmes with a flexible trauma-informed approach that uses students’ voice and involvement.
Context
