The uptake of intravenously administered zinc-65, by the prostate of mature, male mongrel dogs was determined. The prostate concentrates the radioisotope and maintains a significant level for 7 to 9 days. External scintiscanning at the time of the radioactive uptake studies does not differentiate between prostate and surrounding tissues.
