Abstract
In this study, functional near-infrared spectroscopy (fNIR) is used for the first time to study the differences in hemodynamic activation of the prefrontal cortex between eyes-open (EO) and eyes-closed (EC) conditions. fNIR is an emerging functional neuroimaging modality that provides information about the changes in hemodynamic activity in the prefrontal cortex.
