In almost all of the swing states this election cycle, abortion remains legal and available through the first trimester and beyond. Elections and polls in those states have made clear that voters want it to stay that way. However, if Donald Trump is elected in November, their clear preference for legal abortion could be entirely undone. In other words, a vote in those swing states for Trump on Nov. 5 is a vote to possibly nullify the abortion preferences of the voters in those states by more seriously restricting abortion and potentially banning it entirely.
