Abstract
Marlowe et al discuss the legal and clinical factors that are relevant to making determinations about offenders' amenability to treatment. Many drug treatment programs for offenders have a condition that the offender must be "amenable." Yet, little is known about this concept. They explore how the past predicts the future in the concept of amenability, and lay out an agenda for future research into the concept.
