“Dr. Arvin” Ebrahimkhanlou is an Assistant Professor in the Civil, Architectural and Environmental Engineering Department at Drexel University with a courtesy appointment in the Mechanical Engineering and Mechanics Department. He received his Ph.D. from and completed his post-doc at The University of Texas at Austin. Dr. Arvin’s research is in the area of robotic-based and Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based assessment of civil infrastructures as well as mechanical and aerospace structures. The results of Dr. Arvin’s research have been published in more than 80 highly cited journal and conference papers. His scholarly efforts have had a quantifiable impact on the field and have been cited more than 1400 times so far. Such efforts have also been recognized by several awards, including the Fellowship Award of the American Society for Nondestructive Testing (ASNT). Dr. Arvin has a keen passion for teaching and has been recognized for his outstanding teaching performance. Dr. Arvin is a distinguished alumnus of Sharif University for obtaining his bachelor’s degree with the highest honors and an active member of several professional societies.
