About
Christopher Gaffney is an Associate Clinical Professor for the Decision Sciences and MIS department at the LeBow College of Business. Dr. Gaffney's research focuses on decision making and optimization with applications in public policy. His work has been published in the IEEE Systems Journal and the Annals of Operations Research. At LeBow, Dr. Gaffney teaches courses in Operations Research and Statistics.
Before coming to Drexel, Dr. Gaffney did postdoctoral research at Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, NJ. His PhD in Operations Research was completed at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ. He also holds a MS in Mathematics from the University of Nevada, a MA in Philosophy from the University of Wyoming, and a Bachelor’s in Mathematics and Philosophy from the University of Wisconsin, Green Bay. Dr. Gaffney’s industry experience includes quantitative work in mortgage banking and market research analysis for the semiconductor industry.
