About

Erica Springer, MSN, is a board-certified women's health nurse practitioner. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from Neumann University and Master of Science in Nursing from Drexel University. She has completed post graduate training in colposcopy.

Professor Springer started her nursing career as a critical care nurse intern and then specialized in trauma and neurosurgical nursing at Christiana Care before following her passion to work in women's health. As a certified inpatient obstetrics nurse at Paoli Hospital, Springer participated in the Sigma Theta Tau International Maternal Child Health Leadership Academy and created an interdisciplinary safety initiative for her unit. As an integral member of the interdisciplinary clinical team at a large, suburban Philadelphia ob/gyn group, Springer believes in empowering women to prioritize their health and self-care. She believes in doing the same for students. Springer has a growing interest in creating a psychologically safe space to optimize experiential learning.

Outside of her professional life, Professor Springer enjoys fitness, mountain biking, kayaking and has competed in Olympic weightlifting. She also enjoys art, painting and attending live music events with her husband and two teenage sons.
