Jaimie B Dougherty

Jaimie is currently teaching at Drexel University's School of Biomedical Engineering, Science, and Health Systems. Previously, she was a postdoctoral fellow in Biomedical Engineering working in Dr. Karen Moxon's laboratory. She received her BS in Biomedical Engineering from Rutgers University, New Brunswick and entered the biomedical engineering program at Drexel University. She completed her PhD in collaboration Dr. Feroze Mohamed at Temple University identifying and quantifying fatigue in the MR environment with electromyography. Currently in her postdoctoral work, she has been awarded a postdoctoral fellowship from Shriners Hospital for Children to study the cortical encoding of postural adjustments over the course of spinal cord injury and recovery. She hopes to combine her experience in functional output with her postdoctoral work in cortical encoding for BMI application.
