About

Jason is responsible for care and maintenance of the Entomology Collection. He specializes in systematics and evolution of the Lepidoptera, particularly moths in the families Callidulidae and Geometridae. Ongoing research interests include studies of lepidopteran phylogeography, revisionary taxonomy, and conservation biology, as well as the evolutionary ecology of fern-feeding moths. Jason has extensive entomological field experience throughout North America, as well as parts of the Caribbean, South America, Europe, Africa, Asia, and Australia. Current field work has focused on enhancing the Academy's collection of Southeast Asian moths.
