Liza Y. Barnes is an Assistant Professor of Management at the LeBow College of Business. She received her PhD in Organizational Behavior from the University of Colorado’s Leeds School of Business. Through her research, Dr. Barnes explores the complexities and challenges of relationships at work. She specifically examines how employees build and repair relationships, how relationship quality affects and is affected by identity construction, and how individuals manage relationships with colleagues during personal critical life events. Her work has been published in top management outlets such as the Academy of Management Journal, Organizational Psychology Review, and Harvard Business Review.
