About

Masoud Soroush is a professor of Chemical and Biological Engineering and an affiliate professor of Materials Science and Engineering at Drexel University, and directs the Future Layered nAnomaterials Knowledge and Engineering (FLAKE) Consortium consisting of research teams from the University of Pennsylvania, Purdue University and Drexel University. He was a visiting scientist at DuPont Marshall Lab, Philadelphia, 2002–2003, and a visiting professor at Princeton University in 2008.

His research incorporates nanocomposites, nanomaterials, polymers, advanced manufacturing, membrane separation, digital solutions, process systems engineering, functional safety, and renewable power generation and storage systems. He has edited/co-edited and contributed to 8 books and has documented his work in more than 400 publications, including over 220 articles. He is an elected Fellow of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) and a senior member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers. He has supervised the research projects of 24 PhD, 22 MS, and 39 BS students, as well as seven postdoctoral research associates.
