About

Micah Meltzer, MD, earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Human Physiology from Boston University. After graduating, he continued his undergraduate research examining the role small molecules have in skeletal muscle and bone cell lineage commitment. Meltzer developed a novel high-throughput system to test large libraries of compounds for new, potentially therapeutic, molecules that influence bone cell commitment. He then attended SUNY Downstate College of Medicine, receiving his medical degree in 2014, and has since been teaching health sciences to undergraduate and graduate students alike. His special interests include musculoskeletal physiology and evolutionary medicine.
