About

Stephen Mastro, PhD is a Section Leader for two of Engineering Managements core courses: EGMT 501: Engineering Management I and EGMT 502: Engineering Management II. He is the course developer and subject matter expert for EGMT 465/SYSE510: Introduction to Systems Engineering and SYSE533: System Integration and Test.
In addition to his faculty role, he is a senior engineer and the Science Advisor for the Machinery Research and Silencing Division of Naval Surface Warfare Center, Philadelphia Division. His work focuses on hull, mechanical, and electrical systems, systems engineering, materials, and sensor technologies for the US Naval fleet.
Mastro is the author of 23 papers and six U.S. patents. He is an active member of the American Society of Naval Engineers (ASNE) and the International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE), and holds adjunct teaching appointments at Villanova University in addition to Drexel. He also is a board member of the Industrial Advisory Boards of the Mechanical Engineering Department at Villanova University and the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at Temple University.
