Tamara Rushovich is a postdoctoral fellow contributing to a project focused on the impact of various laws and policies on infectious disease outcomes. Tamara recently earned her PhD in Population Health Sciences, where her research centered on how political representation and voting rights influence public health. Before pursuing her PhD, she worked as an epidemiologist at the Chicago Department of Public Health and holds both an MPH and a BA from the University of Michigan. Outside of her professional work, Tamara enjoys spending time in nature—hiking, biking, and camping—along with cooking, baking, and creating pottery.
