Broadly, my research interests lie at the intersection of macroeconomics and labor. My recent work focuses on how the observed behavior of labor market participants---such as the search effort exerted by the unemployed or the wage-setting decisions of firms---can be understood through the lens of models in which individuals have limited or asymmetric information. I also have an enduring interest in interwar trade policy.
