Ginny Wilson, MSN, has been in practice for 47 years as an RN with experiences at all levels of nursing administration in health care organizations and leadership roles, including educator, consultant and care provider with a focus in emergency nursing. She is an experienced national speaker for nursing leadership programs and a featured speaker for ANCC/ANA for the past 17 years. She has been published in peer reviewed texts and has developed and been faculty for continuing education modules in nursing leadership in multiple presentation venues. Her research interests include leadership development and succession planning in healthcare organizations.
Wilson has held faculty positions at the assistant professor level in various universities and colleges in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. She teaches across multiple curriculum levels specializing in leadership development topics, legal issues in health care, health care policy and the business of healthcare. She is currently a program director for MSN tracks in Leadership in Health Service Management and Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
She began her career in healthcare as a diploma nurse, obtained her Bachelor's degree from the University of Hawaii and her Master's degree from Widener University in Chester, PA in Nursing Administration. She is nationally certified as a nurse executive at an advanced level and operational level.
