Abstract
This chapter provides an overview of the research evidence for the use of medication in conjunction with CBT for anorexia and bulimia nervosa. Particular attention is paid to the problems of starvation, the medical complications of both disorders, and co-morbidity. Principles that facilitate collaborative care and a team approach are illustrated with clinical examples.
