Abstract

Bypass Graft Coronary Collateral Graft Occlusion Myocardial Contractility Myocardial Oxygen Demand
The clinical success of aorta-coronary bypass grafts in the recent past suggests the efficacy of this procedure in increasing blood flow to ischemic areas of myocardium (1, 2). The ultimate effects of these grafts will be assessed subjectively by reduced disability from angina pectoris, and objectively by reduced morbidity and mortality from coronary artery disease.
