Public health science: right evidence needed in right place, at right time

Abstract
Obesity prevention researchers are working with colleagues in city planning, housing, transportation, economics, marketing law and public policy and are embracing systems science. Faster track research funding initiatives through the National Institutes of Health have been created specifically to increase the timeliness and relevance of research in this multi-disciplinary arena.
