Barbara Schindler, MD, is a professor of psychiatry and pediatrics, and vice dean emerita of educational and academic affairs at Drexel University College of Medicine. As vice dean, a position she held for 18 years, she guided the College through several LCME accreditations and provided exemplary leadership and creativity in the service of medical education. Prior to becoming vice dean, Dr. Schindler served as acting chair of the Department of Psychiatry from 1993 to 1995.
