De Gaulle I Chigbu

Dr. Chigbu received his Doctor of Optometry degree in 1992 from Abia State University in Nigeria, Africa. From 1999 to 2003, he worked as an adjunct clinical faculty at the Optometry Clinic of the City, University of London, England. He received a Master of Science degree with distinction from City, University of London the following year. Prior to moving to the United States for post-graduate training at The Eye Institute of the Pennsylvania College of Optometry, he worked in a private practice in the United Kingdom. With clinical faculty status, Dr. Chigbu is the lead optometrist at The Eye Institute at East Falls. Dr. Chigbu is a Fellow of the College of Optometrists (U.K.), the American Academy of Optometry and the British Contact Lens Association. He is a Diplomate of the Comprehensive Eye Care section of the American Academy of Optometry. Dr. Chigbu is the author of a number of articles in professional journals. He received a Master of Science degree in Immunology in 2016 from Drexel University College of Medicine.
