Katie Ball

Katie leads the Career Strategies office, and she brings to the role knowledge from her time as a legal practitioner as well as in-depth experience hiring and recruiting lawyers. She graduated from Temple University Beasley School of Law in 2001 and clerked for a judge in New Jersey before entering private practice. She was a practicing lawyer at an Am Law 25 firm in Philadelphia for nearly ten years, and subsequently transitioned to a career in recruiting. She joined the recruiting team at Ballard Spahr LLP in 2014, eventually becoming their Director of Lateral Recruiting and Integration. Katie is active in NALP (National Association for Law Placement), and she is a prior Chief of LRAP (Legal Recruitment Administrators of Philadelphia), which is a consortium of law firm recruiters in the Philadelphia area. Before law school, Katie graduated from the University of Texas in Austin with a degree in Journalism.
