Dr. Longjian Liu is a tenured Full Professor of Epidemiology at Drexel University’s Dornsife School of Public Health, with an adjunct appointment at the College of Medicine. He previously served as the Interim Chair of the Department of Environmental and Occupational Health. With extensive training in medicine, public health, and epidemiology from institutions in China, the UK, and Hong Kong, Dr. Liu's research focuses on cardiometabolic diseases, brain aging, and global health disparities. He is a Fellow of the American Heart Association and has published over 100 peer-reviewed articles, textbooks, and book chapters. Dr. Liu has led and collaborated on numerous NIH-funded studies, utilizing major U.S. datasets like MESA, ARIC, and NHANES, as well as international cohorts from Japan, China, and the World Health Organization.
