Murugan Anandarajan, PhD, is a Professor of MIS at Drexel LeBow, where he has served for more than 20 years and has held various academic and administrative roles.
Anandarajan is the Senior Associate Dean for Academic Programs and Faculty Affairs, overseeing the development and alignment of curricula and programs to ensure that college-wide academic offerings reflect industry and student needs. He also manages the faculty tenure and promotion process and the College Research and Curriculum Innovation (CRCI) initiative. Anandarajan serves as the Academic Director for two Drexel LeBow units: the Center for Business Analytics and the Dornsife Office for Experiential Learning, where he ensures academic quality across curricula and programming.
Prior to his current roles, Anandarajan served as the department head for the Management Department for seven years and as the Department Head for the Decision Sciences and MIS Department for five years, overseeing the research, teaching and service of more than 40 collective faculty.
His research interests include cybercrime, unstructured data analysis and the strategic management of information systems, and his teaching interests include text mining, qualitative research methods and disruptive technologies. His work has been published in journals such as Decision Sciences, Journal of Management Information Systems and Journal of International Business Studies. He has received research grants from the NSF, NIJ, and DOJ, among others.
